Nonpoint...

Last Night's Concert...

It was so AWESOME!!!!!! They had the upstairs closed but we found a couple bar stools in a corner with a perfect view. Although we might have been farther away than alot of others, we had a great view because in front of use was a sloped ramp so no one's head could get in the way. The pit area so full during Nonpoint, i'm glad we stayed on the stools. They are so awesome. I think this was my 3rd time seeing them. No cameras were allowed but we did get a ticket and t-shirt signed. I'll post pictures after i take'em. And Rob asked the lead singer about Bake Sale & he said they will be there this year! So awesome!!! I know it's about 5 months away but the 2-3 hour drive and possible hotel weekend idea will be well worth it. It will be my 4th Bake Sale...
On a hair note. I had a couple ladies compliment me on it throughout the concert and one creepy lady grabbed it as she was walking by towards the bar. I turned around and looked and she just smiled as she walked to the bar. WEIRDO but not my first experience at strangers touching my hair w/o asking. Although, they usually engage me in a conversation..
PS. there were kids there, I saw at least a few boys, not teens, there just walking around by themselves a few times. In a place full of adults that at least 1/2 were drinking probably since the downstairs had 3 bars & mosh pits on/off during the show. Definately not something I'd do.

Dying...

1. First step Bleach, did that the day before, this is what it loks like afterward...
2. Step up work station. Could take a while so get comfy...

3. After application wrap head to protect it and it helps attract heat which I'm heard helps with attaining a bright pigmentation.

4. Rinse, condition, dry....

I do this about every 3 months...

La Te Da

So I'm alone and bored-ish....it's after 3 and I haven't checked the mail...why? Because I am in the middle of dying my hair and don't feel like walking all the way there looking like this. And I haven't been able to wear my classes because of that so I'm trying not to strain my eyes.
  • My favorite jeans are on sale at Debshops.com. Hydraulics!
  • I found a new reality show to watch, 16 and Pregnant...I just can't wait to have one of our own

It's been a busy week for God...

First poor old Ed McMahon died, I think he was about 86 or so, at least he had somewhat of a "full" life. And then tonight Michael Jackson died at age 50. Heart attack? And Farrah Fawcett died today as well at age 50, due to cancer. Although death is inevitable it is still sad and all who die shall be missed...

Lemon Cookies....

Ya know those Lemon Cookies I bought from Publix well ...later that day I played some Boom Bloxs with Rob and ate 2. Then I put the remaining ones in a zip lock baggie. Well I've tried looking for them twice and have come to the conclusion that someone...Zoey...must have gotten them off the counter and eaten them. He has been known to do this in an angry tantrum while no one is home. I'd love to catch him in the act!

Tuesday....

Well Ain't got much to post about but thought I ought to anyways.
Looking forward to going to the HOB saturday for dinner and concert!
Only got about 5 weeks left in the semester so going to be working on getting that done.
I got some SuperTarget coupons in the mail today, including a $5/$50 purchase.
I think it might storm again tonight, so I guess I better get my dishes washed and cook my chicken for our salad(dinner).
Also I got the Paula Deen cookbook from the Library.

Saturday Night....

I know, I know you're all thinking -wow no posts for days now they growing up like weeds- lol.
Here's the thing
1. I just completed 1 of 3 summer classes
2. Husband always works Saturday evenings & my mom would rather spend time with her BF and his mother.
3. It's the end of the week
So I'm just going to post about some random things to kill time/ease my boredom and just maybe entertain someone else
  • Harper's Island ----Have you been watching? Dude I just finished watching this episode & wakefield is alive?!? And like always the person I thought would die didn't (no points for me).
  • 2 Fav Clothing stores ATM----- Hot Topic & Old Navy......HT has such cute things and lots of band/movie/tv related stuff. Old Navy is comfy, some cute styles, affordable (especially when they clearance things). I know 2 completely different kinds of stores but so what if loving them both means I don't fall in a certain Sterotype, I'm just me.
  • Currently waiting for a few things to arrive from the library (probably monday) - Paula Deen cookbook & some Indiana Jones DVDs for hubster.
  • Are you getting a Sunday Paper? There are some good coupons like: -$1/1 starbucks frap or double shot drinks - $2/1 Starbucks ice cream - .50/1 6 ct Double Roll Angel soft TP - $3/1 Starkist Seasations (i've tried 2 flavors, my fave is the Lemon-so so good)

Saturday Shopping...

This is my combined trips to CVS and Publix
Publix:
2- Starbucks ice creams ($3.79/BOGO)
2- Ben & Jerry's ice creams ($3.79/BOGO)
1- Cookies (2.99)
1- Iams (4.99)
1- Dog toy (2.99)

CVS:
1- Crest Enamel Sheild (2.99)

Total Before Coupons/ECBs-------------$29.91
Total After Coupons/ECBs--------------$11.64
Saved: 18.27

Saturday..

First... this is a photo of what I cooked for dinner the other night, it's not just any old lasagna but 2-sauce lasagna. Basic principle of lasagna, just add a couple layers of Alfredo sauce, so you have a tomato sauce and alfredo. I use a bit less alfredo compared to tomatoe because the garlicy alfredo sauce can over power the tomato flavor. I ended up freezing half of this because my small family couldn't eat it all. I also added some mushrooms into mine but spinach is also good.

(Anti-photos)

Second...here is my husband and his newly Blue hair (done by me).

Third....today, i was relaxing post errand running/pre-final with a fake cappicunno and flipped some channels to end up watching The Soup on E! I've seen this show before but am not a regular watcher. I have to admit although sometimes tasteless and could be considered offensive to some...this show is so funny. Truly an easy pick-me-up.

Thursday...

I went to walmart today to use up some coupons that, majority ending this month.
Before Coupon Total:$175
After Coupon Total: $113
Saved: $62
Would have saved a bit more since a couple things rang up wrong. I didn't bother to question it, although inside I wanted to; I had more than the normal alloted coupons (40) so the CSR or whatever had to come over But this lady I think didn't really know why she had to, because she kept looking at my coupons and pulled aside the printed ones, as if to imply that they might be fradulent. And said something towards my husband because he was chatty, that you're supposed to have only 1 coupon per item, no shit. I had over 80 items and at most 50 coupons. I don't to fradulent couponing, i'm totally legit. i just about was on the verge of feeling insulted because the lady said she couldn't do anything since the transaction was already processed. I've used over 40 coupons 2 or 3 times prior and always just had the CSR put the key in and hit a button. I suppose I'm going to have to "count" my coupons and due multiple transactions....why is the world so paranoid that they think everyone is out to do no good. I'd never attempt to do such awful things. I guess I just wish the world was alittle nicer since I know there are plenty of good people around too.

My Husband Won...

... a $100 Visa giftcard & World of Warcraft for the pc from our local radio station WJRR. So exciting, he even was on the radio to introduce 2 songs. He was nervous I could tell. So tomorrow morning we are off to the Radio station to pick up the prize. He hasn't decided what to do with it yet but the game is mine for when I return to WOW..some day.

An Act of God....

Well I miss the new 18 Kids and Counting, my electricity went out just before 8:00 and came back on at 9:29....
I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
So my "plans" are all helter skelter now so I'm just gonna do whatever I darn feel like and try to regain and nice evening for myself (ie not working on my studying guide for Psych, will spend tomorrow on it).
Luckily my cake came out of the oven about 15 minutes prior to the outing and you know 5 minutes before it went out I lit 2 Glade Scented Oil candles. I just thought the house would smell nice and in the very off chance anything could happen at least I wouldn't freak out by sudden darkness. And i was going to get in the shower too, while the cake cooled but something inside me said "Lee just do it later".....

It's a Girl!!!!

Josh & Anna Duggar are expecting a girl. How exciting and of course tonight is 18 Kids and Counting in TLC. Can't wait until Oct when the new baby comes. Although they said something to lead ya to believe they will not have as many as their parents, thay have said they are leaving it up to God....
But anyways, onto other things....
  • I took my midtern for Nutrition=A
  • Tomorrow is a test in my humanties class
  • Thursday is Final for Psych class, this one i'm most nervous about
  • I'm currently waiting for 2 books and 4 DVDs from the library to arrive (anytime this week) but I currently checked out Seven Brides For Seven Brothers...I love that movie, my dad bought me it on VHS years ago. I don't get around to watching too many old movies now a days but still have a few favorites (like Meet Me in St. Louis, the Gidgit movies, Daddy Long Legs, some others i can't recall & of course The Wizard of Oz, i've always associated it with my Grammy since they have the same name)
  • Now that Rob is on days I find it harder to get out to shop but hopefully I can work something out, Tomorrrow I have to go to CVS

Psych Class..

I just have to comment about this dude in my psych class. I think he's married which makes this worse in my opinion. He basically said that in a marriage the amount of money each person brings in should reflect upon how much housework they have to do. As in the one who earns less does more housework.....
Excuse me? Dude I think that is so wrong. And i commented on it too, requirement of class, telling him how it shouldn't matter and refering to the movie Fireproof.

True Blood Season 2 Ep1

I can't believe all the happened in last night's episode!!! Now I'm wondering if I'll ever get to see hot Eric in a pink tank top and what follows....
Best of all my hubby came to me and watched it! <3
6 more days until the next one...can't wait
My brother really needs to get HBO so his wife can see the different bombshells.
Anywho...HBO shop has added a few new items and are supposed to each monday, according to a fansite. I made a wish list, so if anyone wants to buy something cause i'm just so awesome, go ahead, just type in my email to find my list....

Rob and I will be going to the HOB at Downtown Disney to see Nonpoint! And having dinner before hand in the restaurant. I can't wait, it's been so long since we've been to a concert. And a first to eat at HOB. The tickets only cost $33 for the both of us, pretty good deal.

  • Went to walmart to use some soon-to-expire coupons and stuff

Wednesday...

So I was visiting one of sites listed in the Duggar post, and found this Bible verse that I really liked and thought it true of many...
"A sensible person sees danger and takes cover, but the inexperienced keep going and are punished." (Proverbs 22:3 HCSB)

Duggar Night

It's Tuesday and that means a new "18 Kids & Counting" on TLC. Since this is one of my favorite shows I've devoting this entire post to the Duggar's and they inspiration. I recently found out that they were in TN last month (figures 9 months after I leave, they come to visit). I hear they've been helping their friend, the Bates, renovate their home for their own 18 kids, plus meeting Miss Dolly & riding with her on a parade at Dolly Wood. Surely this will air on later episodes (can't wait).

I got the book...

Down Home with the Neely's from the library. I looked through the book and marked all the recipes that sounded good (evaluating the ingredients), will list the recipe titles below. Some I've linked the recipe to because it's on foodnetwork.com but if you're interested in the recipes that I am going to copy for myself, let me know. I will not post them on my blog cause I don't want to w/o the Neely's permission.

Coconut Shrimp

Spicy Corn Chowder

Creamy Shrimp Bisque

Cheesy Corkscrew w/ Crunchy Bacon Topping

Cane Syrup-Glazed Sweet Potatoes w/Marshmellow Streusel

BBQ Spaghetti

Frozen Lemonade Pie

Sock-It-To-Me cake

Stawberry Shortcut Cake

My Outings....

I got a check in the mail from Staples, rebate for printer paper ($12) and had an issue at publix, lady couldn't read my coupon correctly....for bertolli pasta sauce, says $1 of any one but shows picture of 3 because they only have 3 varieties in the bag type container.....she was trying to tell me i could only use 1 coupen per 3 items.....i said give me my coupons back, i don't want the items.....I'll go to another (my) publix in a couple days....
After that we ate at Taco Bell....the new pina colada thing looks good but didn't indulge myself into one because i found Grandma's Lemon Cookies at 7/11 (my treat later) but i did get that new grilled chicken burrito (pretty close to the feista burrito) very good.
Also got a BB movie in the mail (He's Just Not That Into You), probably will watch it later....would like rob to watch it with me but i'm sure he'd rather work on getting money in the game WOW. I Also added $300 to my "savings" this is from this and last pay check. It's just money I do not anticipate on needing/using but we all know Sh*t happens.....
Disappointed that I didn't get a few certain pieces of mail yet, always hope for tomorrow i guess.... A storm is about to start so I think I'll try to find something to do until my mom walks in the door and we have to go to the "office" to resign our lease....

Friday

So What have I been up to?
  • I took another Nutrition test=A, go me! I'm getting a teeny bit nervous for the mid-term because A. i don't know how many questions B. it's timed (50 minutes)
  • The only shopping i've done all week is walgreens (expiring RRS) & walmart where we spent abut $41, not sure on what but $10 went towards new ear phones for Rob's MP3 player
  • I've lost 2 pounds this week (much needed) I think one was for my working out the begining of the week (and last week= 30 minutes on bike 13-15MPH) and the other was probably stress...
  • Found out the my sis-in-law's sister makes as much as my brother, which made me feel pretty good since i'm basically doing the same thing = hopeful (I just hope that i'm in a calm environment and can trully devote all my time or at least enough attention to schooling)
  • I deleted all my downloaded music on my desktop, i don't think it made it run any faster

What am I going to be doing today or near future?

  • Well a week from Sunday is TRUE BLOOD finally
  • Going to go to Publix for cat food and pasta sauce (a deal yes and i figure no matter happens in my life I'll have enough pasta & sauce & cake/brownies that we'll be carb loading)
  • Also got some errands( post office, drop book off at library, get cash from rob's paycard at ATM, eat lunch (main meal of day) out, sign lease)
  • Going to do some school stuff too of course, have to start a 2.5 page creative writing assignment where I am to protray the life of an ancient greek person like a wife or something (i feel i have to be the wife because i'm a woman and the only women back them were wives or slaves...) In about 10 days or so i'll have a test, a midterm, and a final due. (getting headache now)
  • At some point in the next couple weeks the vet will call for Max to get blood test...trying to put off until homelife settles
  • I've been fighting the temptation to buy myself jeans (fav brand on sale) and rob Tripp pants that are on clearance at HT (would put back for christmas) but since recent personal events I feel like if i spend money on things i don't need i'll end up regretting it ... i really feel like my life is on hold (except for school)

I guess my life is pretty boring for now....I forgot to add that I'll probably be going to the movies on Sunday and might consider a day at Disney in the next couple weeks (we have non-expiring tickets & it's like a 30 min drive)

BTW I've heard they'll be 3 inserts in Sunday's paper...Buy One!!! or check out that coupons and decide if you want one.

A coupon that sparks my attention -$1 off 7 oz + Folgers (could this be used on my Folgers FRench Vanilla Fake Cappicunno?) If yes then I'll have to get a few "extras" so i can have some in my stock (it's $3.54 at walmart and on a bad week i can go through a can).

P.S. I also need to re-dye husband's hair (he went blue) and mine too (might put off until that final is over)

I just have to say...

Have you seen the new season of Jon and Kate plus 8? I have to say that I'm not liking it nearly as much as the previous seasons. The couple seem to be headed for divorce. They barely spend any time together, always on seperate trips or vacations. It's sad....but i'm not interested in seeing a family raised by one parent. Not that there is anything wrong with that but I can see that anywhere.

Coupons.....

  • Get a free coupon booklet from homemade simple here.

  • Ragu, hellmans and more coupons here

  • Don't forget coupon bar to the lower right has reset and added a few new ones!!!

  • Need some medications....check out these coupons

  • Hit up Hot coupon world to see some posted coupons also....
BTW have you tried starbucks new ice cream? I tried the Caramel Macchaito...so good!

Monday

  • Im putting the couponing on hold for alittle while, so probably will have less posts but will continue to gather my coupons.
  • I forgot about the new Redbox free monthly movies and missed out on getting a free one today..pooey...
  • Positive note: I have 2 cookbooks on their way to my home: Down Home with the Neelys & Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives....maybe i'll find some "stellar" recipes. If I ever move I'll definitely miss the library books through the mail service.

Tomorrow is my niece's birthday, Kayla, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring on the double digits, you'll never go back now...

New Moon...

here is the trailer for new moon for those who love it (holly) & it's post 200!
