Update

I took his temp about an hour after the tylenol and it was down 2 degrees, still a fever though. He's still in bed, i'll probably check in anothre hour.

Also this week I discovered Sabra Hummus and Stacy's Pita Chips, the combo is delicous. I got the classic hummus and the parm/herb pita chips. I used 2-coupons for $1.50 off each, which was about 1/2 off the regular price at walmart. I only wish I had a couple more so I could use them sometime. Try'em out for yourself!

Rob is sick...

He has a temp of 103. Yesterday it was only 100.6. I'm kinda worried. I gave him the hcoice to go to a clinic today or try to get the temp down and reconsider tomorrow. He chose the latter. He starts his new job tonight at 4 and works until they close (Applebees). Really bad timing! I just hope he gets better by then and will be better tomorrow. Not sure how it would look if he called them tomorrow with a Dr's note for a few days.
I really don't know what it could be, no one else is sick. Main and starting symptom was/is Fever. I'm thinking either someone was sick at his old Applebees and he caught it OR maybe he has some type of infection somewhere and this is producing a fever. He doesn't usually get fevers. If it goes up anymore though we'll have to see a Dr pronto!

Pay it Forward?

Here is a little bit of fun…..Here is how it works-the 1st 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive at some point during this year a handmade gift from me. What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise! The catch is that you must participate as well. Before you leave your comment here write up a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going (or cut and paste..no one will judge you, cause that is what I did). Then come back and let me know you are going to play, and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift. Remember only the 1st 3 will qualify. Good Luck!!!

I was wondering because i have some i haven't used and may get more on a good deal but won't be able to eat them in a reasonable amount of time, i thought about freezing them but afraid thawing will effect them badly, has anyone ever tried this?

Walgreens Ending Rebates

I emailed them to confirm it and this is what they wrote....

Thank you for contacting us regarding our recent decision to evaluate the EasySaver program in its current form. Walgreens is always looking into the future. For this reason, we are looking at ways to revamp the rebate program to assist us in proceeding in an exciting direction. Although change is always intimidating we feel that it is time to develop a new loyalty program so we can offer our consumers new and improved services. You will continue to find the EasySaver Catalog in our stores through April. Please look for future advertisement regarding our new programs to come. We appreciate your patience during this transition and hope you will allow us the opportunity to continue servicing your drug store needs. Thank you,

_________________________________________________________________
Note: I will be giving and/or donating the toothpaste and stayfree, which I ended up getting free or actually making 21 cents (stayfree). I am not brand loyal to many things but crest is one that I am; and I haven't had a use for feminine products for 2 years thanks to Depo Provera. Since I have another BOGO stayfree coupon I'll most likely use it later in the week and i have more suave coupons so I'll probably go back and get a few more items since i can get at least 3 more for $2 oop and/or 3 for $2.50. And on my card i got a $5 off/$30 purchase. I wasn't' prepared to use it, nor had my coupon box w/me so I'm hoping I can find enough deals to use it next Sunday (last day to use), otherwise it will go to trash unless i find enough to spend this week.
I have so much bars/bottles of soap I don't know how i'm going to use them, does anybody know if that stuff goes bad or loses quality after a period of time???

Thank You God

My Husband Got A Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's been about 6 months of trying since we moved to Orlando, it's kinda funny cause it's the same job as he had in TN, but he's doing dish/gu 2 nights and 3 days of prep/dish? BUT his boss said once they get another dishwasher they will move him up to prep 5 days. Hopefully that will come with a raise. He's making the same as in TN but the diff comes down to cost of living is cheaper in TN (at least housing) but TN has 9 1/2 sales tax, FL is 6 1/2. So hard to say which is a better deal. The truth is I'm living today for today and after i become a nurse i'll be ready to plant my roots. Where that will be who knows but i know it will be a place that my family will be successful and happy.

However I didn't go to my norm Walgreens and had an issue doing the spenda deal but i went to my normal wags and went to my fav cashier and explained what a manager had told me over the phone (had an issue couple months ago, same type thing, he said they could change it for me if i told them prior to check out). She said she couldn't change the price (the manager said to me they'd change the $) but she would adjust the coupon. As long as i get my deal, i do not care how, as long as it is legal. I got really good deals and a headache too (literally) but in a month i'll have almost $10 back and a big smile on my face (sans the headache)!

Flip-Flop Socks

I wanted some socks I could wear with my flip flops since i live in flip flops. At the Epcot Japan store they sell them.
1. Put on a pair of socks and either measure the length needed to cut in between the big and next toe or go ahead a carefully cut as deep as needed.
2. Reverse sock (pull off) so it is inside out.
3. Carefully sew the area you cuts so that it would form a area for the big toe to go and an area for the rest to go. Sort of like a V shape. (I hand stitched mine and double stitched it, I recommend this to insure they can last through lots of use)
4. Turn right side out and try on to make sure they fit, All Done!
I made one pair (tester) for myself and one for my husband. I would test out on an old pair of socks unless you are super comfy with sewing.

My coupon organizer

This is my new coupon box, i used to used those coupon organizer plastic thingys but my coupons starting overflowing out of it. So a couple weeks ago I found this box at a new Staples. This is an amazing box because it has track system in it, so if you have one coupon you can have it tight or have 1000 you adjust it so they all stay neatly in their files. The cards came separate. Cost about $20 or so.
I only have 6 months worth of files because I ran out of cards. The blue ones are months, the yellow are non-food, the orange are food/edible items.
This is the same kind of box that Walgreens (at least the one i worked at) used to organize their weekly ad tags. The only place I've seen them is at Staples and they come in 3 different sizes, mine is 4 x 6.

Pictures

So here are a few pictures I just took of my (sans makeup) and my honey Rob at his desk doing his daily activity of playing WOW.

Religion for the Week

Above is a bookmarker that I received for my grandma Dorothy's funeral almost 2 1/2 years ago. One side has the poem, that you see and I use this in my bible.
This is my Bible and it was gift from a church I attended as a child. It is perfect for me because if i could pick out any bible it would be white with silver writing.

Ok so if you know me then ya know I believe in god and was baptised a Methodist; however I do not go to church. I do pray daily and am slowly reading the bible. And after I read a chapter in my bible last night, I was flipping through to random pages and found a few verses I liked. I decided to share them with my christian readers.
Proverbs 18:22
"Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord."
Proverbs 19:1
"Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool."
Proverbs 27:1
"Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth."
Proverbs 28:25
"He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the Lord shall be made fat."
Romans 8:39
"Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
2 Corinthians 7:16
"I rejoice therefore that I have confidence in you in all things."

Rumor?

I read somewhere on the internet that the price of stamps may be going up in May.....so better start buying those Forever Stamps, unless you go through'em quickly. And might wanna get a few extra before the rate hike because right now they are 42 cents and they last FOREVER!

Other than that tid bit, I just finished clipping coupons and planning my deals this week. Think i'll skip shopping today. Rob's still in bed, he says because it's too cold. I already got dinner started (boneless pork ribs in slow-cooker w/ BBQ sauce; smells like a McRib lol). Not sure how i'll spend the rest of my day, maybe finish my homework, trim Max's hair, plan my week a bit, just not sure.
